Levis new "Go Forth"

Levis has came out with a new ad campaign that reaches out to today's American consumers. Inspired by the way Walt Whitman (an American poet, Journalist, and humanist) looked at America, through his poem "Pioneers! o Pioneers!". The ad features a younger generation being free and F.R.E.S.H. Levis denim is really about quality and has been for some time. An American based company that keeps up with the new trends, styles and yet still has them at an affordable price.

The Citadel

The Citadel the first floating apartment complex.

Architecture is one of my one of my favorite forms of art. It not only allows you to see into the imagination of the designer but also fuel for yours. There is a certain amount of pride when one is walking into a beautiful building.

San Diego's Top Boutique "Attic"

Some Dope Art Through out the Store.

This part of the store is located upstairs kinda like an Attic.

This is the bottom part of the store where the main majority of the shoes and clothes are. I have been to alot alot of shoe stores but this store has one of the largest shoes selections I have every seen. Plus they got quality on the Wall !

While out in San Diego got to check out one of the cities premiere Boutiques Attic. They got a sick logo so sick I had to throw it up.

Antonio-

San Diego Adventure !!!

Walked in my room and the first thing I noticed was the bathroom. Dont know if it was cause its so nice looking or because I had to piss for like 4 hours. If you ever go to San Diego stay at the Omni. Make sure Becky at the front desk helps you. Then slide her a 50 and say you want the F.R.E.S.H upgraded and get the Key to Suite.

Went and checked out the fam TRUE STORY. Got lucky and caught them while they were bagging shirts. Dont say anything but I took one Shhshshhs! Just in case you wanna cop one.

Headed over to Coronado which is like a lil city in side of San Diego. Got its own Bridge and everything. Great view of the city. If you ever been to NY just imagine Staten Island and looking back to New York City.

The hotel I stayed at was right next door to the Padres stadium. Was hoping I would be able to catch a game but had no luck. Dont really care for baseball anyway.

A Shot out to the best host ever WEEDY. No thats not her real name she is Vietnamese. So her government is something like Tweedadfdfyanqnjwn.

Be you...

Individualism is the spice of life. When we become followers we loose ourselves. When everybody is the same, what happens then? When I say be FRESH be YOU it means to not follow the trend, do what you do and dont worry about what others think. Even when others may be against you-do you. Being real may mean you'll loose friends in the process, but if you loose them, they were never friends in the first place. Let's try and continue on the path of originality and individuality.

Stay FRESH-Do YOU

Men's fall line is pretty fresh.. I like the way he layers his pieces together and a couple of the pieces look very military inspired. The thing about this line is that this could actually be worn and its not just a runway collection.

Men's H&M Trends for Fall/Winter 09/2010

Some extra ish...

Here's some trend looks from my fav store H&M for the fellas (featuring a military jacket)lol
They're using alot of darker tones, leather, and layers this season.

Coming to a H&M near you...

Enjoy!

Attention!..Military trend in affect for Fall/Winter 09/2010

A new trend for this Fall/Winter is the military jacket. In both men and women trends. Big gold buttons, fringe, tabs, the whole nine. When done right and on the right body, it actually looks very good. Designers like chanel, D&G, and Derek Lam are ushering in the trend this year. You can dress a look up or down with this 18th century classic. The look is also taking place in dresses for ladies with the buttoning down the princess seam and high neck lines. I dont know how long this trend will last, but let's enjoy it while it's here.

Remember...no matter what the trend, being FRESH is doing it YOUR way.
Be FRESH. Be YOU

And now for some pics...Here's the military jacket on the streets.

" DRAKE " Drizzy" or Jimmy" you Choose !

Canadian born Aubrey Drake Graham is set to go on tour with LiL Wayne, Young Jezzy and Souja Boy this summer. Drake recently signed to LiL Wayne's Young Money label. Drake not only raps but sings and acts as well. Some of you might recognize him from degrassi as Jimmy Brooks. Drake has been hot on the mixtape scene for about two years. Now let's see with the help of LiL Wayne if he can take it to the next level.

Hylas

It was just about 10 years ago when only 43.7 percent of the American people had access to the internet today we are at about 73.2 percent. If you are reading this blog you know the ability the internet has to inspire or the capacity it has to connect people and allow people to work together.

Currently Avanti Communications is planning on launching Hylas. Hylas is a satiate that would provide high speed internet access up to 50mps. This will be an achievement because it would allow people in rural areas or places were wires cannot be laid to gain and contribute to online community. What this means is that more people will have access to the internet and will allow for more ideas to flow. Benefiting everyone.

Remember these Kicks

Photobucket

Photobucket

The retro Marty Mcflys dunks are Maky Marc favorite Nike released of "08". There were only 250 of the dope kicks released and there pretty pricey if you can find the kicks of the future .

New "Wave" of Communication by Google

This is a product that is currently not available to the general public. I am anxiously awaiting this product, not only because it give a groups a new way to work together no matter how far apart they might be. I also give a refreshing face lift to e-mail, instant messages and blogs. Google Wave enables its users to have a full and fluid conversation, opposed to the sputtering chat found in all e-mail boxes.

The video above show two people on two different computers (one PC one Mac) working together in real time tagging the photos. As one person type the other person can see each letter appear on their screen and vice versa. Below I will post the full 80min demonstration of this new product

Nike Dunk Hi's x Wu Tang Clan

This is an Old Love this shoe was released back in 1999. Nike only produced 72 pairs of the Wu Tang Dunks. All the shoes were for Wu Tang Members and there family and friends. This is one of my favorite shoes. First time I saw these shoes was down at Flight Club in Los Angeles. The shoe was seating at the very top of the rack and had a price tag of $5,000. Here is some more info on the shoe http://sneakernews.com/2007/04/26/nike-dunk-high-x-wu-tang-clan-goldenrod/ .

Art Spolight: Fafi: when girlie meets graffitti

Being a girl, naturally I like girlie things. Bright colors, prints, sparkles, all that. But there's also another side to me (like most girls) thats not as girlie. A side that's a little more grimey and "street" so to speak. Well my art spotlight for this week is a female artist, who to me, combines the the two sides of a girl perfectly. Fafi, a lady graffitti artist from France has been doing her thing since '94 drawing on the public walls of Toulouse. Within the past 2 years you've probably seen her work in the collab she does with Adidas with jackets, sets, and kicks. The girl is clean. One of my personal faves. If you don't already know about her, get wit' it.

The story of life.

Life is funny and schedules don't mean a thing. Today for me was a prime example. (I won't go into detail) but the lesson learned, which I've always sort of known, is that you have to learn to roll with the punches. There's nothing wrong with planning, but always plan for the unexpected. If you don't, life will throw you for a loop. Bein' F.R.E.S.H is learning how to brush it off and keep it pushin'...Remember F.R.E.S.H is not only outside, but inside. It's not just a look, it's a lifestyle.

Be F.R.E.S.H..Be You

Just being me

Photobucket

There's a lot of different people in this world crazy, sad, mad, funny, nice, caring, or even spontaneous. Some of us have a little of each. And the ones that are not afraid to show who or how they really are, are really the ones that contribute to FRESH culture. I live my life day to day and enjoy the people that are in it. I like to see myself as an individual that expresses my thoughts and opinion freely. That's why i love fashion and art so much because you can show how unique and different you really are. Everyday i wake up I am Me, I am FRESH.

High Fashion to Street Fashion-Trends for fall '09

I've been doing some research on the upcoming style, prints, and color trends for Fall of 2009. Some very interesting things are coming back in style. Some of which, to me, have been in street culture for some time now. I'm gonna give you the rundown of high fashion trends and show you the way it can be done more cost effiecent and street savvy-Enjoy.

For my Ladies'-

One big Fall trend is playing up the waist. Waistlines or belting (as seen here in this derek lam peice), accentuate the waist and add shape. Also paying homage to classic, old school style. Luvs it!

You can do this look funky. As pictured above a cute tee and skirt can be accentuated by adding a cool belt at the waist...No more hip hugging stuff.

Disco is back! I never thought I'd see the day, but the sequince trend will be making it's way back this fall in the form of dresses, shorts, and blouses.-Get ya shine on.

Here it is-street style. Sequined shorts complete this look without going too 70's.

Next fall trend-Velvet-for both men and women. Dresses, jackets, and suits. Like the Marc Jacobs peice above and the Dolce & Gabbanna line below, velvet is going to be making a comeback.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009

Here's a cute way to down-play this look a cute velvet peice, like this skirt, adds spice to an outfit without doing to much velvet in one peice and still kepping it street F.R.E.S.H

Guy style. Again, you can dress up a simple outfit by adding something like velvet blazer like this one.

High-high boots. No more need for pants anymore I guess :)
Gucci Fall 2009

Now these arent as high, but it's just an example of some that can be worn just as good.

Men (or boyfriend) jackets. This baggy look is one of my favs. weither, tailored or oversized this look can add a twist to an otherwise normal look.

Just Cavali Fall 2009

For instance, in this ensemble, a boyfriend jacket adds a funky twist to this short and shirt outfit.

So there you have it, just some of the trends the Fall '09 has to give. The trickle down theory has already taken affect on the streets and we will see more results on the streets in months to come. Also there's a cool and cost effiecent way of doing these trends for those who have a cristal taste on a beer budget.
In the end, it's all about doin' you. Bein F.R.E.S.H Bein You.
